Helping Survivors Gain Legal Protection & Independence
The Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) provides a crucial legal pathway for survivors of domestic violence, abuse, or extreme cruelty to apply for immigration relief without relying on their abuser. This law protects spouses, children, and parents of U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents (LPRs), giving them the opportunity to self-petition for a green card, work authorization, and legal status in the U.S.
At Compassionate Psychological Services and Immigration Evaluations, we specialize in providing professional immigration evaluations that can strengthen VAWA cases by documenting the psychological and emotional impact of abuse. Our assessments are thorough and trauma informed, helping survivors present compelling evidence to USCIS.
